Updating your images in PortalWisconsin.org's online gallery
To ensure that PortalWisconsin.org's online gallery remains a rich resource for artists and site visitors, artists who currently display their work should update their pages regularly. Please plan to contribute images of your recent work at least every two years.
Send your new images to Portal Wisconsin. You can mail 35mm slides or a CD/USB thumb-drive containing .jpg images of your work through the postal service, or your can send us .jpg attachments via email. These images must be accompanied by information describing each item. Remember that the gallery accommodates ten images per artist; if you're sending less than ten, let us know which images to swap out.
- To email your images: send a message--with your images attached as .jpg files--to email@example.com. It's important that you describe the attached images in the body of your message. For each image, we need to know: title of the work; date completed; medium category; dimensions; and the name of the digital file. (If possible, the name of your digital image files should match the titles of your works--at least in part. It avoids confusion on our end.)
- To mail images on slides or CD: Please print out and complete this form, on which you will enter information about each of images. Mail your slides or CD/thumb-drive, along with the completed form to: Portal Wisconsin Online Gallery, c\o Wisconsin Arts Board, PO Box 8690, Madison WI 53708-8690. If you prefer to send via a trackable service, please use our physical address: 201 W Washington Ave FL 2, Madison WI 53703.
- To update your contact information, artist statement and/or bio: send any revisions by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. We ask that you limit your artist statement to approximately 250 words, and your bio to approximately 150 words.
