Lawrence University Choirs and Symphony Orchestra present “Messiah”
The Lawrence University Choirs and Lawrence Symphony Orchestra join forces in a performance of George Frideric Handel’s popular classic “Messiah.” The work recounts the Nativity, Passion, Resurrection and Ascension of Jesus Christ. Highlighted by the famous ““Hallelujah” chorus, the performance captures the work’s emotion with such selections as “And He Shall Purify” and “Ev’ry Valley Shall be Exalted.” The oratorio features 12 student soloists.
