Artist Talk: José Carlos Teixeira
Interdisciplinary artist José Carlos Teixeira will discuss his work, including ON EXILE: Elsewhere within here (2017), a recent experimental documentary film on view in the Imprint Gallery that explores identity, migration, and displacement through first-person interviews with Muslim refugees. In addition to his artistic practice, Teixeira is an assistant professor in the UW-Madison Art Department.
This talk is part of an MMoCA Opening and is free for members and $10 for non-members. Seating in MMoCA’s lecture hall is limited.
