Description: Discover local history at the Oconomowoc and Lake County Museum.
Visit the Lake Area Beginnings room, the Sarah Jane Abbott room (celebration of women's home crafts through the years), the old-time classroom, an illustrated history of the Oconomowoc Mail boat exhibit, the winter sports exhibit, the railroad exhibit, Victorian home, dental office, barbershop & print shop, general store, medical clinic and more. Vintage toys, antique license plates, Native American arrowheads and stone tools, sewing machines, 1895 circus poster, and hand tools also displayed.
Open Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays, 1:00-5:00 p.m.
Admission by donation. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Maintained and staffed by members of the Oconomowoc Historical Society, a volunteer organization dedicated to the preservation of the history of the Oconomowoc and Lake County Area.
