Description: The Jackson Historical Society invites you to step back in time to an era when children learned their lessons in a one-room school, and pioneer families carved a living from the land. It was a time, too, when enterprising merchants planted the seeds for a thriving town and rail center.
The Jackson Historical Society's Museum is located at the former Immanuel Lutheran Church and School on Mill Road. The site has been designated a Washington County Landmark.
The museum and one-room schoolhouse are open for tour by appointment. Before visiting, please call to make arrangements. Admission is free. A donation will be appreciated and helps to maintain the activities of the society.
