Description: The museum is an old cinder block building owned by the village. A public museum since 1976, the building previously functioned as a milk transfer station and then as a village garage. The museum has on exhibit an old-time school room, a general store, doctor's office, blacksmith shop, carpenter's shop, a cheese factory display which includes the only remaining milk-can washer, and farm equipment. Visitors will also find display cases, photographs, a library, and old Victrolas. The log cabin dates back to 1842. It was built in the town of Scott, in Sheboygan County, and moved to the village in 1980 where it was opened as a museum in 1982. Set up like an original log cabin with kitchen and parlor and two upstairs bedrooms, the house reflects the period between the 1840s to 1910.
Open May 27-Sept 9, Sundays, 2:00-4:00 p.m. Group tours by appointment. One block south of Hwy 28. Free admission, donations welcome.
