Description: Southwest Library is a traditional one-story brick and stone structure. Originally constructed in 1981, Southwest was expanded and renovated in 2004 to encompass 42,300 square feet. It is used as the headquarters for the delivery of major KPL services to the public. The Food for Thought Café is located in the lobby of the Southwest Library. The café is operated by Reuther High School culinary arts students under the supervision of staff. This collaboration between the Kenosha Unified School District and KPL offers students real-life work experience and the chance to use the café's business plan in class.
