Artist statement
Love, gratitude and beauty are goals in Susan Pucci's artwork as she strives to create that which makes her happy. She says, "Ideas need only be discovered." The harmonious flow of ideas depends on listening to the inner voice, thus creating one's outer environment as a projection of the inner self.
Susan Pucci's watercolor, oil, acrylic and mixed media paintings, drawings and sculptures of wood and stone flow as the inner voice suggests--strong in design, sometimes simplistic, often complex and always intuitive. Her work ranges from realism to total abstraction.
Biography
Susan Pucci's artwork appears in public, private and corporate collections throughout the country. She retired from teaching in 2003, having taught art from kindergarten through adult levels. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in art education from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and has done graduate work through the UW-Madison and UW-Stevens Point and has attended numerous art and creativity workshops and seminars.
Pucci is an artist on the Northwoods Art Tour and Artists Interactive-Northwoods Art Experience, during which times her artwork and demonstrations may be viewed at her studio in St. Germain, Wis.
At present, Susan Pucci is represented by Odanata Gallery, Mercer, Wis.; The Center for Visual Arts, Wausau, Wis.; Colours and Creame, Sayner, Wis.; and Abbacino Galleria, Venice, Fla.
