Artist statement
As you will see in the images of my paintings, I paint what is around me, whatever shapes my life. Every day is a blessing to me, and the ability to capture that and share it with viewers is a gift that I take very seriously.
My creative process stems from moments or thoughts that I feel others may connect with. I do sketches to layout my composition, value patterns, and points of interest. Once I have all my technical thinking accomplished, I paint from my heart. After all, my heart is what told me it was going to be a great subject matter.
