Artist statement
I strive to create a connection with the viewer by using color and texture in unique and unexpected ways. My work conveys movement, joy and spontaneity. I especially love creating collage pieces. I make colored paper from tissue, wax bags, foil and paint. I manipulate printed ink into unique visual expressions. I use found materials with watercolors. I am most happy when what I create is a result of the emotion I find in the materials. I offer a partnership between myself and the viewer, each of us constructing the potential story, culminating in shared emotion.
