Artist statement
Painting is the key to unlocking elusive aspects of myself. Thoughts that don't have words, words I won't say. Unspoken, yet given voice in my paintings.
Biography
I paint traditional subject matter in untraditional ways. My forms are simplified, colors muted and the edges are often hazy.
I like figure, still life and landscape painting. I work in pastels, acrylics and oil paint. Occasionally I work in watercolor or mixed media.
