Artist statement
I'm an Italian-American, Wisconsin sculptor interested in the surreal, the unlikely, the impossible and the unconscious in my sculpture. I sculpt directly in stone. In my work, I'm expressing individuality, the uniqueness of being, posture, obsession, humor and the process of creation. I prefer to sculpt in calcium-based materials such as marble, limestone and dolomite. These materials neutralize the effects of acid rain.
