Artist statement
I am what you would call a bit of a regionalist; I search for great beauty in Wisconsin, its lands and its people and do my best to share it with every person I meet. I was born and raised along Wisconsin's portion of the Mississippi River and have spent most of my life discovering Wisconsin's natural beauty.
Biography
I have been using photography as a means of expression for about four years. I started taking photographs with a throwaway camera and eventually moved on to much better equipment. Within a year of snapping pictures, I had read almost every book on the subject of photography and began to submit prints to galleries and local contests (with a push from my loving girlfriend) and it turned out people enjoyed what they saw and I had sold my first print within a year of picking up the art. I am still what most people would call a novice, but my skill has grown rapidly over the past few years and I look forward to learning more as I explore Wisconsin's rural areas.
