Sara and Larry Raikowski - Junction City
Larry and Sara Raikowski operate a local foods farm, selling meats, plants and canned items from their kitchen. Larry tends to day-today farm duties. Sara is a physical therapist for a local health care firm, but she's heavily engaged in farm and sales duties, too. Both in their early forties, they've used marketing techniques like surveys, e-mail, social media and other Internet applications, all with the idea of knowing their customers and what they want. In doing so, the Raikowski's have created a fairly successful business model for bringing their food from farm to plate with a few keystrokes.
