Wisconsin English Words
Lexicographers Luanne von Schneidemesser and Julie Plier of UW-Madison study words--specifically words used in Wisconsin. They appeared in 2010 at the Wisconsin Historical Museum to discuss how different cultural groups have influenced and enriched the English language in Wisconsin. Their presentation is part of the Wisconsin Historical Society's History Sandwiched In lecture series; it was filmed by Wisconsin Public Television.
