Description: The renovated Second Class Soo Line Depot (1901), the only depot remaining on the abandoned railroad bed that is now the Gandy Dancer State Recreational Trail, is a designated trail rest stop, and also houses the local museum.
The Frederic Historical Society and Museum seeks to preserve the heritage of the area in and around Frederic. Many interesting farm implements are on display at the depot. The kitchen has a collection of old-time paraphernalia. School days are represented at the depot. Many "Magnets" school yearbooks are on display. And there are interesting items in the old General Store.
