Description: There are three buildings on the site, an original Chicago Northwestern Depot; a two-story log house, built in 1894 and decorated with turn of the century furnishings; and a small log building converted into a one-room school house museum. One half of the depot is composed of waiting rooms and an office, both restored with original furnishings. One waiting room features an extensive collection of tools. The other half of the depot stores many items of interest, including wooden toys from the Schoenhut Toy Co., c. 1910; World War I and World War II memorabilia; local school artifacts; a collection of vintage and antique cameras; an exhibit of local business memorabilia, and many photographs. Open May-Sept, 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month, 1-4pm. Special tours available.
