Artist statement
I strongly believe visual art should be solely created through skill of the artist, not merely leaving it to chance such as so much paint thrown aimlessly onto a canvas or whatever.
I believe a visual artist must, to be a true artist, create the elements from raw materials and then bring these elements of the artist’s creation into being strictly through the actions of the artist per se.
I believe artists should be free to be influenced by the entire world about them including other artists but should never attempt to duplicate another artistic work in any way.
I believe the work of an artist must be unswervingly honest in that the final result is exactly what is sought after by that artist without compromise.
Biography
A former engineer, I’m a full time artist, creating abstract metal indoor sculptures. Monumental public sculpture has also been accomplished.
