Artist statement
As an artist I have been painting since 1995 and enjoy using acrylics as a medium.
Things that are natural are my favorite subjects. Being able to paint a moment in time, the idea of place and mood are facets I like to present in my works. I love the natural world in all it's indifference to boundaries and limits.
In my work I have found a growth and evolution in my skills. The rigidness when I began is moving in a much more free understanding of what I observe in the natural world.
I try to put something beyond and more ethereal in my acrylic painting. I hope others will enjoy the place and mood I try to present in my work.
Biography
I am primarily self taught. I have taken course work at MIAD in Milwaukee and have an associates degree in Commercial art from MATC Milwaukee. I was runner up in a contest for Agora gallery in NewYork and sell my work thru Hang up gallery in Neenah WI and River Edge gallery in Mishicot WI.
