Artist statement
My passion is portraiture. To capture a subject's lifetime in a single moment is my goal. I work in a wide variety of mediums and use many techniques. I have created commissioned works for over 25 years and experienced 12 years of professional illustration.
Art is a powerful force in effecting change and creates peace via beauty and expression. I enjoy working with local groups in creating public art. Those graced with the creative spirit must share their gift. I enjoy teaching and mentoring local, rising artists.
