Artist statement
The purpose of this work is to create a visual statement for future generations to observe. From these works they will get a glimpse of another time, of what people did and how they lived. They will learn a little bit about the American Midwest, Wisconsin.
These artistic vignettes are created by the tools of the time. The photographic camera. The desktop computer. These are the latest evolution in artists' tools and the work created with them is still governed by the time honored principles of art; the use of color and composition and the depth of its meaning.
Glenn Sanderson finds the process of his work as fascinating as the conception of it.
Biography
Glenn Sanderson has formal education in art and photography and has a degree in photography. He continues to have solo and group exhibitions of his art. Currently 14 pieces of his work are part of the State of Wisconsin's permanent art collection. His studio is located in Green Bay, Wis.
