Artist statement
My passion is photography. I love the way a photograph can create a feeling and draw you in. I try to capture the simple, natural beauty of people and things with a fresh and different perception. When you look close enough, you can find beauty in the simplest of things.
Biography
I am a freelance photographer in Elkhorn, Wis., just north of Lake Geneva. I grew up in Niles, Ill., one of six children in a modest community. I have always been interested in photography, taking pictures at every opportunity, but it wasn't until the digital era that I began to explore and experiment in depth. My love of photography intensified. I began submitting my images to local art and photography shows and the county fair, winning awards along the way.
Next, I began photographing friends, candids and social events, while continuing to create abstract work.
