Artist statement
I love the wearable art branch of the quilting tree. Creating clothing that showcases quilting techniques is my first love. The combination of texture, color and embellishment guarantees one-of-a-kind results in my wearable creations. I particularly enjoy working with jewel tones and often incorporate turquoise (my favorite color) into my quilted garments.
Biography
I inherited my love of sewing and all things fabric from my mother. My enjoyment of quilts and quilting has manifested itself in my wardrobe. I have won many awards/honors for my wearable art and several of my works have toured the country with fabric company sponsored exhibits. I continue to lecture/teach at quilting/sewing venues.
