Featured speakers are John D. (Jack) Swanson, MD; Lee M. Vogel, MD; and Norma Turk, MD. Dr. Swanson, who practices at at Fox Valley Hematology & Oncology, SC, specializes in palliative care, which provides comfort by treating the patient's symptoms and improving the quality of life for patients and their families. Dr. Vogel serves on the faculty of the UW School of Medicine and Public Health; her special interests include geriatrics and medical ethics. Dr. Turk also serves on the faculty of the UW School of Medicine and Public Health and is board-certified in internal medicine as well as hospice and palliative medicine. Each doctor shares his or her unique perspective on end-of-life planning and issues.
